Diclazepam 2 mg Pellets: Description & Research Information
Description
Diclazepam is a long-acting benzodiazepine analog of diazepam. It is primarily sold as a research chemical and is not approved for human use. The 2 mg pellet form is designed for precise dosing in laboratory studies.
Pharmacology
Diclazepam acts as a positive allosteric modulator of GABAA receptors, producing anxiolytic, muscle-relaxant, sedative, hypnotic, anticonvulsant, and amnestic effects in vitro and animal studies.
Metabolism involves N-demethylation to delorazepam (detectable in urine for ~6 days) and other metabolites such as lorazepam (~19 days) and lormetazepam (~11 days). Half-life is approximately 42 hours.
Effects
Observed effects in research models include anxiety reduction, sedation, muscle relaxation, and anticonvulsant activity. Human effects are untested and therefore unpredictable.
Risks
Use outside controlled research is highly unsafe. Potential risks include dependence, overdose, adverse drug interactions, and unknown long-term effects.
Legal & Safety Considerations
UK: Class C controlled substance. US: Schedule I (temporary). Globally, Diclazepam is unapproved for medical use and heavily regulated. Always store in a cool, dry place, and use only in authorized research settings.
Contact Information
For research inquiries, consult licensed laboratory or institutional contacts. Never use in human subjects without proper approvals.
